   The Galaxy is a former U19 travel soccer team from the Springfield/South County Youth Club (Fairfax County, Virginia). 

2007-2008 Highlights

• Team entered their final State Cup in June 2008 and advanced to Regionals. See News Page for player achievements in college ball.

• 2006-2007 Highlights

• Advanced to State Cup Final 4

• First Place Div 1 WAGS, 6-0-2, scoring 4 or more goals in five games.

• Virginian Memorial Day Tournament Champions (3 shutouts)

• Champions in PWSI Icebreaker (4-0, 4 shutouts)

• Champions in Baltimore Bays March Madness (4-0, 4 shutouts)

• First place -- WAGS Tournament, October 2006, in Bethesda, MD

• First place -- Bethesda Thanksgiving Tournament, November 2006, in Bethesda, MD

2005 Highlights

• First Place Div 1 WAGS, 8-1-0, scoring 4 or more goals in five games

• Finalists in Sun Cup U-19 Champions Division. Lost in finals on PK's to U-18 PWSI Cardinals (Score at the Shore Champions)

• Wins over #4 ranked Roanoke Star, 5-0, and #3 ranked Beach Majix, 2-1

• Summer play with U-18 Sterling Pride. Champions of Baltimore Bays Showcase

• Semi-finalists, Orange Classic, Orange 1 Division.

2004 Highlights

• Spring: Runner-up Champions of U-15 WAGS Div 1

• CHAMPIONS 2004 St. Patrick's Day Tournament [Played at U-16]: beat U-16 FRED United, U-16 PWSI Twisters Red, tied U-16 STER Pride (U-16 Div 1 Champion runner-ups)

 

• CHAMPIONS 2004 PWSI Icebreaker

• SEMI-FINALIST, VIRGINIAN 2004 [Outshot, but lost 1-0 on late goal to State Cup Champions, BRYC Fury]

• CHAMPIONS OF 2004 CENTRAL JERSEY INVITATIONAL [Played at U-16]: Defeated highly ranked Washington Freedom PDA (9 players from Beth Eclipse - 2nd in nation)

• CHAMPIONS 2004 PWSI Toys For Tots Labor Day Tournament. Victory over last season's WAGS Champions leads to the team's 4th tournament championship in five tournaments.
